Current Gallery: thedragonprincessofkomodo ( piece)
This collection is inspired by the people of Komodo National Park in Eastern Indonesia, and their oral traditions, which are represented in the book The Dragon Princess of Komodo & Other Folktales. Alex visited Komodo and immersed himself in the culture to ensure that he really caught the spirit of these peoples in an authentic way. After returning to Bali he discovered not to simply enter the storytelling, cautionary tales, and fables, but also go into the realm of romantic dreams, animal magic, bewitching tribulations and untold wonder.
